I don't remember the show "Green Hornet" . but I remember Batman show.

First of all can batman use his awesome weapons and the batmobile and if so would the green hornet get to use his Kungfu grip and awesome kicking style...secondly No hands down in real life the actors would definatley have to go to Bruce.

I could be wrong. I was really little when I watched these shows.

both shows are seriuosly campy, but fun too. But batman can beat green hornet anyday. He was trained by the best and is skilled in many different forms of martial arts.

No. I take that back. I know there was an episode of Batman v. The Green Hornet. They fought. I don't know which episode you're talking about because it was a draw. Kato was actually supposed to lose, but Bruce Lee through a fit and they decided at the last minute to call a draw. Yeah, I'm a nerd.

(Is this a geek friendly conversation?)

Frank Miller's graphic novel :"The Dark Knight Returns".
Now that's "The Batman".
Bruce Lee, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Tony Jaa...they'd all look up to him.

DKR is the antithesis to Adam West's Batman, which, along with most other versions (including "Batman Begins" where almost every character tells him off) is a 'humiliate the hero' venture; Critical, iconoclastic deconstruction. Inject the 'real world' into the story, and have the 'real world' say what's wrong/fantastic with the character/story.

But all of these were a reaction away from 1986's "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns"...by doing the opposite of it's formula. In DKR it's:
inject the 'real world' and 'make it real', but the main character, The Batman, sees what's wrong our 'real world' and does something about it.

DKR: criticises the real world; almost all other version do the opposite and have the 'real world' brought in to criticise The Batman. (I know which direction is more fun! DKR.)

Bruce Lee version of Kato was handled reasonably respectfully; while West and Ward as Batman & Robin were a spoof. So it's easier to root for professional martial artist Bruce Lee (esp back when their were few actual martial artist action heroes on film). So it's easier to root for Bruce Lee (an icon himself) than for Adam West.

But read Frank "Sin City" Miller "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" and see who you root for. (It's nothing like any of the films; they still daren't put any more than a dash of it into any production. Just not 'family friendly' enough. In DKR: He's 'the boss'. He'd tell Clint Eastwood what to do. Alfred the butler wouldn't dare tell this guy off).

There nearest thing to it on film is either "Sin City" or "Blade" & "Blade II" (but not at all like "Blade:Travesty"..that's a 'humilate the hero' movie too. And it's awful!). Like Blade/Blade II & Sin City, but non-lethal - which means that the hero is a lot tougher. The less lethal and the less super-powered, the tougher the character's gotta be. (Superman can afford to be pretty non violent, he just pick a theif up by the scruff of the neck!).

And that's "The Dark Knight Returns". It involves The Batman coming outta retirement at age 55; taking on new vicious street gangs called "The Mutants"; his final battle with the mass-murdering Joker (bat-a-rang in the eye! Ouch!); and the ultimate schoolground arguement grudge-match: Superman vs The Batman. (The ultimate 'policeman of the state' vs the 'ultimate vigilante').

That's "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank "Sin City" Miller.
If you like to play rough, it's 'the bible'.

Hey! Who says you can't pick up a little culture on CS?
grin
