And I have met quite a few nice people in the US, but when it comes to politics, even they did not have a clue...sorry to say
Let me give you an example of a funny thing that happened to me:
My best friend and I were in a steakhouse in SC being waited on by a male student - he studied history and geography and something else, he said - and he asked me what kind of accent I had. I told him it is German....
His answer: Oh yes, Germany, that is in South Africa, right
And he meant that perfectly earnest....

I told you it is a great topic for a thread, very good points you make, but it does not adress the questions of the origional post. I want to stay on topic. I am not of a different opinion of you. I do not aprove of the direction the government has taken this country and I have lots I can say regarding America, but I will not say it now, or here. Do not assume anything, when it comes to threads I post on CS. Others have done that before. I post for different reasons than most folks do, I always have an agenda, just not the most obvious one that most would think. Keep this in mind for future reference. Things are not always as they seem.

I lived and worked in WA, TX, KS, NY, and SC.... so you see, I have met all types of Americans, (well-)educated or so-called educated, middle of the road, Republicans and Democrats, military and non-military and just plain and humble farmers and all other sorts of people (I am a translator/interpreter of profession for seven languages) so I have come across all sorts of Americans. And I can assure you: my perception is DAMN REAL.

See, the type of people I don't like at all.... and I mean all over the whole world: someone who will say one thing and then turn around and say/do the oposite.... and ooze with false friendliness and compassion.
I am real, off- or online, always, never disrespect someone with being false. I am direct and to the point. If that is to honest for some people, oh well, that will be their problem, not mine.

This will rally the population and give yet another excuse to expand or carry on the "war on terrorism".

I agree about the divine intervention. I believe if divine intervention is used it would only be to fullfill Gods purpose for some future plans he has when this system is concluded. Other then that he doesnt take sides or get involved. He just watches and judges at the finalle.
