In response to: I was chatting with friends in work about new romances/relationships. A couple of the men said that they find independent women a turn off. Considering myself an independent woman (single mother, own home, own car, good job, etc) I asked why.
One of them said they like a woman to need looking after.
In the same conversation the same man said there is nothing worse than a needy woman.

I couldn't even think of dating a woman that wasn't truly independent.
just an opinion from personal experience, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a woman who has what u have and pays her way everywhere, i think it refers to women who (in a relationship) that makes all her own plans, weekends, holidays without any consideration/consulting with other half
