One New Thread Per Person Per Day? ( Archived) (87)

We can send each person only one flower per day.

I have been thinking maybe it would be a good idea to allow each person only one new thread per day.

There are only a very few people who post multiple thoughtful or interesting threads (in my opinion) each day.

I wonder if it may make us more careful posting a thread if there was a one a day restriction?

Don't make the mistake of thinking I mean always deep and meaningful threads, because some of the trivial ones are so entertaining and all the threads show something of the personality of the thread starters and the posters.
Maybe it would even encourage new posters to join us in the forums.

Also because of the huge volume of new threads each day, some get lost while I sleep and work and I miss so many. I am constantly looking back now to find some interesting threads that may just have been lost in the avalanches. Do you find this?

Been here a year... and there is always a ton of multiple threads because the newbies can't be bothered to read, hehehe...

mean threads get on my nerves... but there are soomany to chose from.

watch all the dorks post a ton of stupid threads...

That was suggested once before and personally, I think it's a DELICIOUS idea! I would even vote for less than that. Good ones lost, a billion duplicates, 100's with no replies...big fat mess.

If it's 1 thread a day, are there enough posters to fill a page ? Paws

Exactly my point, sorry in all the threads I couldn't find where suggested before, but sure your right and that not many are original or even thought out.
It's as if people make statements in a new thread, then instead of debating or discussing, move right off and make another statement!
Not really constructive in anyway, shape or form.

Is that an excuse to multiple thread start, just to fill a page?

Maybe it would be better to see all the different posters in a page and not all one posters threads in a page, may be more interesting mix for everyone.

yeah, folks actually make threads complaining about content...

tell ya...if I'm hurting? I might only ype a wrod or two...smile...whatever.

some just don't bother to talk..they spend all their time staing and not concidering another persons thoughts or feelings...

like babble? it is babble.. an outlet, fun...

poetry... I just write it. Not looking for responses...

So many times people do not want to take the time to do a thread search.

It is tiresome seeing the same people posting the same redundant threads too.

I had to search back over 20 pages today to find one that was used yesterday to read what was posted after me.

The humor is great but, lame, I am drunk tonight threads are getting old.



This idea would not hurt my feelings.
