Just got this on the RAI news, picked off News Of The World......and figured worth sharing before I head off to bed...
In the London bombing of the 7th July 2005, a certain Martyn Wright was seriously wounded and as a result she lost both legs which had to be amputated. She was 32.
A year later, she started walking again on artificial limbs...and started trying to get back to normal living. Her wish was to have a family.
Against medical council, she is now 19 weeks into her first pregnancy, and amazingly enough, she has been advised that the child should be born on the 7th July.
Her pregnancy however dictates that she reverts to a wheelchair for the coming months, since her artificial legs cannot function properly with the added weight of pregnancy.
Martyn stated that this is a small price to pay for the miracle that has occurred. Her husband Nick and the rest of the family are obviously providing all the moral support.
It really makes you look at the silly things in life we can complain about, when at the end of the day they are so trivial compared to something like this.
Martyn Wright is one amazing lady.....she was determind to walk down the aisle at her wedding on very new false legs and she did.. Now this, she is a lady full of determination.
