in the modern world is it true that men and women are equal

Nahhh....

Everyone is born equal but some are more equal than others..

We are getting there.

But women are still not classed as equals.

What I have a problem getting my head around is a man and woman do the same job, same amount of work, put in the same hours etc..but generally the man gets paid more..I've never understood that

And even then, when you brake it down in detail, most women doing the "same" job is performing better in getting things done and develops long term business relations, while men, though having a pile of "to be done" on their table, gets a higher return on their efforts while their relations in business are less loyal and lasting.

It is really interesting, and if this could be tried out a bit more, we could use this knowledge to get the right man or woman on the post.

All in all - same salary for the same job and experience need to be a leading star or all else fall.

Funny enough, I would say that in leading a country the characteristics of the woman above got to be way better, as long as they leave the wars to men with short memory and better ability to forgive tomorrow what was done wrong today.

Look around you, pick a company with this profile and see how it performed lately, in spite of shrinking business. You are in for a surprise.

There are exceptions in everything, but this is a really interesting area.
