Folks some triva...firstly the song is called 'Pledging my love' not 'For ever my darling' as the song title says....The song was originally cut by Johnny Ace way back when the truck driver was a pup....Anyhow Johnny Ace was playing russian roulette one night (more in fun, than feeling sucidal..an he got the chamber with the bullet).....I think Big Mama Thorton witnessed it...

If anyone is intersted you'll have to go into the vortex of google to find the complete story yourself....I couldn't be bothered...

Last piece of triva...it was Johnny Aces last hit and also one off the last songs Elvis cut...

I stand to be corrected....But I think I right

shouldn't this stuff be in the old fashioned music thread?
not romantic to me but that's because when I hear it I get this picture of a grannie sitting knitting in a rocking chair.
