Memento

A prisoner of time
I suffer daily,
It used to be all mine,
Confused with "if" and "maybe"...

Time value comes with loss
No longer my own boss
I struggle to remember
Continue to forget
And only in a moment
I won`t feel regret

I can`t remember to forget you,
I can`t remember you`re gone
My memory became a quiet whisper
I can`t remember what I`ve done!

A prisoner of time
Now time goes slowly = lento
The clock of life got stuck
Forever in Memento...

heartfelt words of loss, summervanilla, and yes, time does seem to stand still, or maybe we just want it too, sometimes.

Very nice write Summervanilla..

and I love this line "I can`t remember to forget you,"

It`s sad I know :( But it wasn`t my loss, I just felt it when watching the movie and put it into this poem! Thank you, gotitall :)

it was a good movie, but this poem is better. thanks for sharing, summervanilla. trapped in time by our own volition, we'll all be set free someday.

Actually this poem started from this phrase: "I can`t remember to forget you". The main character says it during the movie and when I heard the phrase it really touched me and got stuck into my brain. So the poem was born!
I`m glad you like the line the same way I do :)
