Under The Dim And Nodding Sky

Under the dim and nodding sky
'Mid the nighthawk's fading skree
Bend your ear to the rush in the willows
That hush you hear is me.

Up through the cottonwoods' murmuring leaves
Dawn 'round in a laughing swirl
Hovering close to the warm, moist earth
My whispering fingers unfurl.

And lightly gather each blade of grass
'Til at last I come to thee
And brush your cheek with lover's lips
You can no longer see.

A quiet, stolen moment with Richard (Mr.Bear) last summer. With Valentine's Day upon us, I thought this would be nice to share with everyone. :)

Hi Mary

I just noticed that this was posted more than 9 hours ago, I somehow managed to miss this before going to bed.

This poem is such a gentle sighing expression of love. it captures the very essence of St Valentine's day. A lovely warm read for me to begin my day...

Kindest regards
