Is it me?

Twelve years in my dreams,
thinking all is as seems.

Living together each day,
Never looking astray.

Till the moment you told me,
You wish to be free.

My rebound was fast,
As I discovered I was last.

Not the first time in our life,
I've experienced this strife.

You like to look around,
Causing me to rebound.

But this time isn't the same,
As I refuse to be maimed.

I am stronger and wiser,
And move on like a geyser.

I wish you good luck,
As I load up the truck.

And think, 'What have I done,
To have lost all this fun.'
