When sailing on the ocean One can term the sea of life Calm waters soothe my vessel Sea breezes softly blow But when storms rise Lifting waves up high Storms touching me Buffeted, blown Driven off my course Damaged by wind and rain Where our way is lost Lighthouse near the shore Seen you there before Shine your light to see Keep me from the rocks Where on tempest tossed And hope sometimes lost Let your light shine In that midnight hour When our lives are struggling With issues deep and diverse Holding to a fraying rope Til the troubles past For the wind must ease And the rain of life must end Cannot rain forever Theres a rainbow somewhere near Till the morning come We pick up once again As we journey on the sea.
