Curtains of Time
Open these curtains
made of our years
holding all that
we once were
And to lay hold
of curtains like these
select a year
as you part them
Backwards or forwards
where would you go
and if you could change things
what would that be?
So if it could be
what would you do
remain in the present
or reach for the past?
