My mind is like a mountain covered in snow; When the glaciers melt I hope I’ll know- Why the little fish swim upstream as the seasons change; While the little fishnets in my mind grow deranged; Flowers start blooming and everything turns green; While I slowly discover all is truly what it seemed; A seed of love now a huge apple tree; The fruit slowly cures us of our insanity; Peacefully staring at the hovering dragonfly down by the river; Hopefully to come, once again, across the one that delivers; Hearing the sound of the gentle fluttering of a beautiful butterfly as it sits on my nose; I hear the sound of the water- It rose and rose and rose; All of this has me mesmerized; As I stare into the vacuum of his eyes; I realise something that has always been deep down in the snow; There is a difference between what you see- And what your mind really knows. The leaves dry and fall off the apple tree; It’s only winter my friend- They’ll be back- You’ll see; The mountain covered in snow once again; It’s only winter- And it’s only pain.

That's a fantastic analogy and truth. Wonderfully written, and such a gentle and hopeful reminder that everything comes full circle. Ty.

It is like winter.
There is a difference between what you see-
And what your mind really knows.
The leaves dry and fall off the apple tree;
It’s only winter my friend-
They’ll be back-
You’ll see; ....."
