What's the life of a Palm Tree? Well it sees The blue sky And feels every breeze that brushes by. It's soaks up the sun's rays And watches the crashing of the ocean's waves, Till the sun sets and the day ends, Night time begins. Night time is peaceful and dark With the only light from the moon and stars, Until it sees the wondrous sight Of an amazing sunrise. Ahead another beautiful day, Yet it's not always that way, A storm can sometimes occur But it can endure. It stands strong through the rain and wind, It does it time and time again, For it knows it'll eventually be clear And the sun will once again appear, To shine brightly on it's leaves. This is the life of a Palm Tree.

About this poem:
I love Palm Trees. I had a picture of two Palm Trees and that's where I got the idea and inspiration to write this.
Eastern White Pine grows tall and mighty in New England. Years ago the ship builders always chose the tallest straightest trees that grew near the top of the mountain and exposed to the high winds versus the trees growing in the semi-protected hollows, because these trees were many times stronger from resisting all the wind and would not split or break.
