Life is a Dance

Life is a Dance

Life is a dance
And I am without a partner
It doesn't feel right dancing with the broom
There is no passion there
No ballad telling everyone, that romance is possible

No down pouring rain in the hot night
Two lovers entwined in a quiet slow dance in the misted streets

No story tellers
Telling the story of how mummy met daddy

No closed lips
Where only the eyes speak
Of wanting
And wanting more

Swaying hips begging for the hidden truth
Do you love me
Need me
Or do you need to love me?

Streets are cold here
My life is a soulless lonely dance, however
Life is a dance
And I am without a partner
But I need to love you

About this poem:
Just written now, 6-9-11, after watching a movie called Mad About Mambo. It doesn`t hurt that it`s chalk full of Irish accents. My weakness. I thought of how we live through our life avoiding things, living through painful and even joyful things, how some can really bring us to our knees. But ya know, there`s passion in life, too. Just not mine.

Life is a dance, it's true, we all were born to love and enjoy life. Let nothing that happens bring your spirit down. Bad days will pass and you will be dancing again, cause life is good, dear. hug
