Tonight I sleep with dogs,
Laughter through midnight hour,
Darkness has got a price,
Listening to a swaying willow tree.
I'm sleeping with Charlie, Thomas and Bob,
Sweet scent from Jasmine flowers,
Shadows at my line of sight,
Hearing whispers spoken to me.
Watching K9s is now my job,
Until night shift is up and over,
Forget my worries and hunger pangs,
Tomorrow I sleep with dogs again.

Ken
be a dog's best friend.
Ps.. If you decide to quit humanity and
run with the wolf pack I hope you won't
find yourself barking up the wrong tree. Lol
Nice to see you posting again...
Enjoyed reading...

I'm back to keep you on your toes and howl ....
Sweet scent from Jasmine flowers,
Shadows at my line of sight,
Hearing whispers spoken to me.
What a riot I'm picturing you snuggled up to all those dogs. My daughter owns a dog Salon - She said she'd rather spend her day pampering dogs, rather than pampering humans, she loves her animals. Loved the poem Morgen.
Second this write is beautiful and inspiring.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey Morgen!
Thanks for your contribution to my challenge!
You really have a imaginative mind!
Take Care!
Watching K9s is now my job… Went with a friend to a rescued-dog adoption event this weekend and was reminded of the important work that others do. It's nice to read Sleeping with Dogs, Forget my worries and hunger pangs, and reflect on Shadows at my line of sight. Welcome back to Poet's Corner.
