A Secret of Love

Do you have a secret for me, my love?
Please whisper softly into my ear.
Tell me of all your hopes and wishes
And the aspirations which you hold most dear.
I swear that I won’t tell a soul
That’s a solemn promise from my heart
I’ll keep your dreams in total confidence
And leave them for your lips to impart.

Can you keep a secret for me my dear?
I think that I am falling in love with you.
How it came for this occasion to happen
Please explain it for I have no real clue.
Whenever I think of you, my sweet
My heart seems extremely and totally obsessed.
The pressure from this feeling is so overwhelming
But do I dare allow this to become confessed?

Let’s not keep any more secrets, my sweet.
My poor heart continuously buckles from the strain
Of keeping this amazing sensation hidden inside.
In fact, it’s enough to drive one’s mind insane!
Shall we tell the whole world of our love?
How will we confess this boundless deed?
Let us simply allow the news to run rampant
At last, permitting these tidings to finally roam free.
