Sitting alone

In the fan cooled room
I sit alone
in the buzzing silence
sadness and regrets
churning within me.
Many were the mistakes made
unuttered words and phrases
others spoken in anger
in the bitterness of frustration
some sins committed
decisions undecided
years wasted and time lost,
so little time remaining
as compensation.
Then I remember you
and my heart warms
with deep contentment.
I say a prayer of thanks to Him,
for I no longer sit alone.

This is very touching and so true: even if left alone with sweet memories, be hopeful: who knows, everything may happen! Kindest regards!
