Against the bricks

Individuals faced with adversity even those we deemed the best,
The ones behind the walls who are afraid to emotionally invest.
Not because they can't but rather afraid to do something out of one's control,
People of all kinds exist behind the walls even as I place my head against the wall's soul.
The people on the other side trying to save the souls who have come to feel lost,
Cause the world will never see the brilliance that lies beneath their frost.
So here we stand against the bricks with no place to go but in white and black,
Even as the outsiders strike at the weakest part without leaving even a crack.
