The Act of Life
Author: Unknown
the curtain opens on an empty stage,
a simple place to start,
from this place comes a story,
a story from the heart,
it starts with a miracle,
the miracle of life,
just a child, a baby boy,
he keeps himself in strife,
in act two it all seems well,
he is learning basic skills,
his parents proud of his life,
and his future wills,
act three is full of pain,
broken hearts and tears,
first love, first job,
and facing all his fears,
act four, finally,
he finds his one true love,
he has a baby daughter,
he teaches with a shove,
act five comes pride,
for the daughter he created,
for now she loves her daughter,
i guess that its all fated,
act six is sadness,
for opportunities he missed,
as he is on his death bed,
his daughter at his wrist,
so lifes a stage, as you can see,
the final curtains due,
so take a bow, accept applause,
and read your final review,
the moral of the story,
is that everything is there,
the love, the pain, the pride,
but in the end, its bare,
so why even bother trying,
if its all just like pretend,
you bother cause you can,
so love is at the end
