The Beginning of Love

I looked up and saw you,
I know that you saw me,
We froze for a moment,
In empathy,

I looked through desperate eyes,
At the smile upon your face,
I told you desperate stories,
To keep you in that place,

I tried to work the courage,
To stand up on my feet,
To offer you my hand,
My heart would skip a beat,

But then i held my breath,
My heart began to race,
I lifted up my hand,
And put it in its place,

I waited for an answer,
As my eyes were fixed on yours,
I felt your hand in mine,
Then their was a pause,

The moment never ended,
Through our fingers did it rince,
The sunlight of that perfect day,
Ive been yours ever since,
