Great Grandma

YOU RAISED ME UNTIL I WAS SEVEN
LOOKING BACK THOSE DAYS WERE HEAVEN

IN MY MIND I CAN SEE THE LITTLE YELLOW HOUSE AND THE FIG TREE I USE TO CLIMB
MY MEMORY'S ARE STILL CLEAR AND THOSE DAYS HAVE NOT FADED WITH TIME

AT NIGHT YOU WOULD ROCK ME IN YOUR ARMS
AND I KNEW I WAS SAFE FROM ALL HARM

AT CHRISTMAS YOU WOULD MAKE COOKIES AND MINCEMEAT PIE
I MISS THOSE TIMES THAT WERE FILLED WITH LOVE SO MUCH I WANT TO CRY

I WILL ALWAYS HOLD YOU IN MY HEART
EVEN THOUGH NOW WE ARE FAR APART

ONE DAY SOON I WILL MEET YOU ON THAT PEACEFUL SHORE
WERE WE WILL WALK HAND IN HAND FOREVER MORE

sometimes we are blessed with our memories for who in them we still seek to carry on what was given to us in turn we give to our grandchildren....
