In the night I hear them cry, to who I am not sure until all is quiet save the intercommunication between Dog and Wolf. The hounds howled so loudly they drowned out my thoughts as I listened to what they may be speaking of. Who started this conversation I am left to wonder, and it all comes clear when everything goes eerily silent including the dogs, and I now see what was so important that Wolf had to tell Dog. “Don’t forget where you come from, don’t forget what it is, to be wild.” I fear this is something Dog has struggled with for years and like man who has since become domesticated, will continue to.
