A Journey Of The Spirit

A Journey Of The Spirit

With a view of cloud capped mountains across the way

Looking out the window of this shaded house where I stay

Cocooned in nature's tranquility and peace I become sane

While my soul can find it's way to breath, here I'll remain

Long wisps of white clouds slowly roll through the sky

Feeling the afternoon breeze soft, sweet, cool, and dry

Frozen here in the magic I stand gazing while caught

My heart learns to heal I'm finding nothing is for naught

I lost that wounded piece of me staring at the heavens so blue

As my wings spread my soul took flight bidding pain adieu

Leaving the realms where hurt and pain dwelt to a new place

Where dreams flow into me and I once again found grace

No longer do my tears painfully come to my eyes in drips

For here the wind drys them and I may again fly on trips

My Spirit Guide has come and has taken me by the hand

With my wings spread I can now see a brave new land

He shows me the way just as it was always meant to be

As to why life holds importance and the future I now see

I can again take that long soar like an Eagle up so high

No longer my head bowed from hurt or shame do I cry

From here in this land of paradise beneath these tall trees

I have found my healing flying ever so high on the breeze

Learning it's not to forget, but to let the pain of the past go

To envision a new day watching how the future will flow

Once there finding true tranquility I also found peace

And with that long sought peace pain found it's release

All happening here in nature's beauty alone on this land

For I was always cradled safely in Gods mighty hand
