The Immigrant

She came here to a land so cold,
Searching for those streets of gold,
From friends and family she went away,
It is such a heavy price to pay,
A strange land and a language new,
The thoughts of home make her feel blue,
The feeling of loss in her heart it burns,
She prays for the day when she returns.

yes...there are two sides to every problem...and even us Brits who leave home and family to live elsewhere, take time to adjust...I certainly felt I was on holiday, and thinking it would end soon....but strange language and culture....just adds to the daily problems....well said....and what if comes to mind....Kathycheering yay
