Years I dedicated to making YOU The image that the world always saw I taught you what to wear, say and/or do I even kept you on the right side of the law Nothing was too much for our tomorrow No obstacle too hard to climb or bare I smile through the joys and hid my sorrow I told myself I had nothing to fear
Tomorrow however is a far way from today When at two in the morn your phone rings To talk from my side you have to stray Whispered conversations pull at my heart strings Then you come back to bed on tip toes The phone won't ring again I am sure Cause as I lay here buried in woes I saw you turn it off before you closed the door
Forgiveness is not an easy task my dear You should have thought about me before you act How many times have I listened to you swear To be faithful! Yeah take a minute and retract But to think you did not even think about me Cause if you did you would realize that in reality Protection is sold in every corner shop and pharmacy I would never hear of STDs or that other pregnancy
Dare I trust you again, even for a minute When you can casually tell her to kill her child Cause he is not the reason you were in it Then cast her away as if she was soiled When will it be my turn to be thrown out the door Dare I trust your new promise of fidelity Isn't cheating a disease without a cure And I am aware AIDS would be my finality

About this poem:
To Sanya my friend I just wrote what you were feeling hope you stick to your resolve and love you first in the situation
Hi, kle76am, The poet has captured within each line, and especially in How many times have I listened to you swear To be faithful! ... Dare I trust you again, even for a minute When you can casually tell her to kill her child, that trust is not present, nor is respect. From that point, one can only deceive oneself in order to continue such a toxic relationship. Thanks for sharing.

Shadow when I heard this story I hurt for her. I more than anybody knew what she went through and endured for him. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.
