The knights of Diamond castle

Dimly do you see them as they
stride toward you through the
densest fog..
You have taken hostage a dozen
maidens..
But you have signed a covent
with death..
Beware!
They come as grim reapers to
claim your soul..
They come.. for you!
Now take your sword to your
own throat..
Surely the stallion hooves
have sounded the death knell..
Surely your heart faints for
fear..
For your tormented faces shall
be reflected in the burnished
shields as the knights of
Diamond castle fall upon you
And our maidens shall dance upon
your graves~

Wowwhat a tribute to valor Jim this is sad in a way because in the he ends up a victim oh his own strength

But his heroism is unnoted

Cafe, nice work here. I love period pieces, as I have stated in other poems of a similar flavor. Some wonderful images here that a strong and real. My only suggestion might be to use the word BEWARE instead of watch out, which is a more modern term and for a moment it pulled me out of the setting you created. It sounds more forboding to me I guess. Just sayin' and sayin' it with ultimate respect and love for the craft. Thank you for sharing and blessings to you!~wine
