In a quiet corner hidden by the dark she stands her eyes sheltered by the mask and making her feel secure, her red hair flowing down and helping to hide her face, she looks out at the people dancing and talking around her and smiles.
she closes her eyes and imagines Him walking up to her, his aura mixing with hers making her pulse quicken, she has no need to see him, his manly smell seeps into her being and she sighs, his hands close over her shoulders and she steps back into his arms.
She does not need to see him, she knows him, he is from here and one day she will remove her mask and let him see her.
Till then, the Masquerade is best to be safe, her mask in place, until she is sure...
