Red tears of Dawn

Pillows soaked in
midnight pain
The grandfather clock
ticks louder and
louder
Restless squirming on
lonely sheets
No one can hear this
heart scream
Why? Why? Why?
I gave it all
I've been poured out
to the last drop
I'm numb to my very
soul
Only death can kill
this pain
Life has been burned
out of me and I will
never be the same
What was meant to be
wholeness has turned
into a morgue
Oh, soul, rest in peace
for I dare not wake to
the red tears of dawn~
