Life is...
Life is a dream
Sometimes it seems
Drifting on gossamer wings
Carried by the winds
Life is a trial
A court that never adjourns
The defense never has a turn
Truth is shadowed in a veil
Life is a struggle
Hard work, toil and labor
A broken back, sore
Always a battle
Life is life
Filled with hardship and strife
A slave to health
A servant of death
Life is a song
One of mourning
One of joy
Short or long
Life is here
What we make of it
Whether love, hate or fear
Life is our fate.
