If I were a romantic ghost I would haunt you for the rapture of a lover’s kiss!
Walk down lover’s lane by your side, you would find no place to hide!
Your hand would melt in mine, you would be my ghostly ectoplasm love!
For you I would materialize, to feel your softness by my side, never more to roam the halls of loneliness!
I would leave my dragging, clanking Ghostly chains and no longer in the midnight moan!
You left me for your lover and I am an apparition that lost his heart to death.
Walking lonely nights, looking at the ghostly moon, alone, thinking just of you!
Exorcise me from this walking earthly death!
For I am but a supernatural spirit, a vapor, a puff of smoke that seeks the manifestation of love’s dream which he never had while living here on earth!
Your imagination roams here, dear poet. But I don't believe you need to be a romantic ghost, much less a vapor or a puff of smoke, for surely you have had the pleasure of loving and being loved as you have romance in you to stir emotions and kindle response. You have all these and more, and there's life with people coming and going, and coming again and then going - some of them forever. If only you stopped chasing ghosts and came down to where, sadly, people do leave lovers for someone else. Play it cool cause next time, who knows?!, it will be the other way round. Nice poem - set me thinking.

You guessed it!
The imagination of my mind
has taken over control as I hide behind my cloud!
For as I try and hold my lover's hand
She fades and runs away!

now that is what i call a really cool poem,
of a ghost still in love from another realm.
Pure magic.
