A Life Victorious

When I die, I hope no one
Sings too long a grieving song
Because I know I am assured
Of all the things in God’s Word

No more time will pass me by
In the hold of sorrow’s cry
I’ll leave behind my broken wing
And be loose of suffering

For all those I leave behind
May your tears be sublime
Because I have, in some small sense
Made for you, a difference

Each tear you shed will be like gold
Because a story will be told
That my life had victory
Because love brings those tears for me
