Ty ladyjewel..It's most unfortunate dear that we must do volience to those who would destroy our freedom and the freedom of others but the adversary would have it no other way.

Ty Morgan..Actually Morgan, I like what you just wrote better than mine, but I hope some soldier reads mine and knows that their great contribution will touch hearts forever.

Ty Liam.. The pillars of heaven are hewn of the hearts of the just.
Hi, cafetwo2010, For all of "The" things your poem mentions, we acknowledge and express gratitude for such great sacrifice and mourn such great loss. In Remembrance, not only on Memorial Day but every day we live in peace and freedom.

Hi Jim
A simple, yet very effective tribute to those who make the ultimate sacrifice - and to those who survive (yet who on occasions seem to be almost overlooked), but who endure the most appalling life changing injuries imaginable. They defend the freedoms that we often simply take for granted.
Best wishes
Bill

Ty Bill..Perhaps a small tribute, yet each word in this poem could spawn a whole book in themselves. Your comment is most telling.

what a powerful medium
like bullets flying everywhere
and yet I'm standing there
looking, seeing,watching,
knowing,thinking,showing,
the brave and bold,
the young soldiers.
a fitting memorial,
a blessed offering,
a sincere praying,
a lonely ending.
you made this all seem ,
just and beautiful,
a wonderful and passionate!
poet with a humble heart.
I thank you for this magnificent poem
I thank you for sharing
I thank you again and again
my friend and a wonderful man!
