Perhaps we have loved before
in the Lupanar of Pompei
a goddess of Priapus
the overseer
of the fertile garden
commanded me...

We perspired on pillows
stuffed with reeds
feathers and straw
most unwitting lady
whispered to me
"you will be Priapus!"

Content within you
likeness of dedicated fruit
making love into real fruit
worn sensual lascivious acts
woman of well-born grapes
dark lady enraged with lust...

Stars may set and rise again
But the light within us has set
the night becoming one long dream
I wish for another thousand kisses
from you dark skinned goddess of Priapus
from where Romulus and Remus suckled
the milk from a wolf...

Hi Ken, well first of all I have to agree with Liam this is a beautifully drawn piece you have given us here. Styles begin to emerge and yours is flying high. I enjoy an write that can take my mind back to the old days, especially a good one. Like a wink, well come ere, are you and Liam drinking the same stuff, I mean your both soaring these days.I keep asking Liam to send me some. His humour returns. Ken this is one read with a trip back in time. Reeds are in the waters and perhaps a very usefull pillow in the wild?

You got me to revisit back in time my friend. You know? When the times of Anthony and Cleopatra?
