They Crossed the Line!

She thinks of him quite often,
as she goes about her day,
it heats her warrior heart,
to picture his dominant face.

In all the various details,
no matter simple, or how minute,
she wrestles to find the answer,
that brings a remedy to their suit.

Many rivals, they surround her,
and they don’t want to give an inch,
appearing alone, she fights life’s battle,
it’s most imperative, that she win.

If she’s ever to achieve her freedom,
from their oppression… pain and dearth,
she has to make a valiant effort,
to prove to everyone… what she’s worth.

This once wounded and broken soldier,
whose deepest scars can heal with time,
will now and always cherish the memories,
of when her enemies… crossed the line.

Overeager… to pocket the spoils,
and claim a victory they took by force,
ironically, greed will expose their weakness,
ultimately costing them… the wages of war.

So she thinks of him quite often,
as she goes about her day,
because he heats her warrior heart,
and gives her his strength, to make the play.
