"The fool who waited"

Time is a strange thing isn't it, you can say it has its' own will.
I watched it walked on by as I stood still.
Called me the fool who waited.
Though i did it patiently, it was agonizing and it was something i hated.
After all those years it proved nothing to you.
It seems nothing I do is ever good enough for you.
Do you believe in fighting a losing battle?
Even if you'll become the slaughtered cattle?
I know some things are never meant to be,
yet still I try to change it because that's just me.
It hurts when you believe in something that can never be real.
Its like losing in court and you can never have another appeal.
I wish i had a chance even if i had to watch it slip away.
Then the pieces i crumble into will just be my utter dismay.
I would of been the boy who had little to offer you but offered everything he had.
The one who would try to catch every tear drop when you're sad.
There are many things to be questioned in life but not this,
Because I'm something you'll never miss.
I'm not waiting to hear you say goodbye this time.
If you didn't know before, now you know that I was in love with you.
