Ink
One reminds me of
my wonderful mother,
Depictions of sisters
Renditions of brothers,
Found and lost lovers,
Friends and teachers,
Various gods and
mythological creatures,
My thoughts and beliefs
on our worlds origins
and religions,
Plainly displayed while
most keep them hidden,
A representation of my
martial arts skill,
Some don't understand
and maybe they never will,
A few things that shaped
my developing mind,
Comic heroes with whom
I identify,
The devil is there to remind
me "Be good",
For he would ensnare us
all if he could,
A tribal band is a high school friend,
And cartoons make me a kid again,
My pride in my country,
The stars and stripes wave,
An AR15 proudly displayed,
I'm asked all the time
"What's this?"
"What's that?",
It would take me more
than a minute to explain
all my tatts,
Unsolved mysteries,
Beautiful things,
Some about life and
others are dreams,
This is what my tattoos mean.

wink wink!
Really fine piece!
Very Nicely constructed and "inked"
Very insightful, and a pleasure to read!
