To France with love

I had a dream it was something.

I felt the bond a connection a past a presence.

Legends told of greats who fell at the hands

of pompous Napoleon devilish little man.

I cry and wonder why

how great living the life

and spoils of the royal.

Now that all that remains is scattered

around the globe.

I wipe a tear leaving your shores of Marseilles

on a ship as a commoner.

to an uncertain destiny.

No castles no longer for we.
