So over you

At breakneck speed I fell into you
I never thought it over,
never thought it through.

I fell deep into the abyss of your eyes
Black as weathered coal
Black as your soul.

Then with the speed of light
It was all over and done
Leaving me the lonely one.

While you continue your silly games
But I am still going strong
I still dance to my own song.

You thought you would break me
But I proved you wrong
While you sound like an old country song.

About this poem:
Being played often makes us wonder at our own weaknesses and strengths. I discovered I am stronger than I thought.

Thanks, Rob.
Yep, like someone far wiser than me once said..... "It matters not how hard you fall, but rather how soon you get up"
