Hi Peach, funny Isn't It that so many people like to be near the sea, the allure of the deep tugging at our hearts. I did enjoy your thoughts on this one. One of the greatest mysteries In our world are the hidden, unexplored depths of the mighty oceans. I do love the smell In the air, the waves rolling In. I did enjoy reading your vision of the sea. Now If your putting the kettle on.......The sea lives In your hands. Have a good day. Catch you later. Your Friend always....MIKE.

I'm very flattered I wrote that afew years ago..I just love the sea anything to do with it,if I were a man which I'm not and glad I'm a woman since I am one,haha,..I'd be a fisherman ,,.i couldn't imagine myself living in a desert and no sea, ... ,when I lived in Manchester as a kid the beach was afew hours on the train so in the city we just had canals and one would never swim in them,,now I live just ten minite drive from beaches and ten minite walk from Wexford quay. ...I'm glad you liked my poem.thankyou, poetno 1

I'm going To stroll along the quay today,,,we used to have a very old quayside ol plank wood the oldest in Europe ,,had to be replaced by concrete, but it's much wider now for people to walk their dogs ,we even get artists from all over the world sketching the fishing boats and our wonderful town, yes I love living by the sea just me sitting down on the bench looking out to sea with a cup tea.

being an islander myself I know this feeling
"the smell of the salted beach", unforgettable.
"waves crashing against its rugged caves", what a view.
I used to sleep at the sound of the waves
