Aww...Jeanie, Great, though sad poem - beautiful tribute to you & your daughter's relationship. I can sure understand the being awake at night, hoping all's well. I imagine she's excited about it... but I'm sure she misses you, too.
And she'll realize, if she doesn't already, that you're one of the brightest lights of her life, too... b/c you're a gem, JM

Hi Jeaniemac...I never had children of my own, probably because of too much dance, but I have watched many kids grow from tiny to mothers, and become part of their family, so I understand the loss......but only temporary.....that is what to focus on.....great write...Kathy
I understand your mother's heart we are so tied emotionally to them, daughter's are special, they understand their mother, but there are sons too who do,but we have to let go of them once they grow up.mydaughter was the light of my life and still her light burns in me.Just think she is there and not too far from you.I'm positive she misses you.
Hi, JEANIEMAC, Tears are in my eyes. Ain't no surprise. No. It's times like these that tears of happiness are mixed with sadness in a mother's heart. Thanks for sharing.
