Clever Trappings

Embedded image from another site

Some people think of themselves as clever
Full of hidden agendas and secret endeavors
Prancing around acting like their so much smarter
Playing games and fighting like a blue darter

When setting clever trappings always just remain
Quiet and innocent enticing them into your domain
Because they don’t know you’re really tuned in
Or steps ahead on the fantasy journey they spin

It's comical really when you analyze it thoroughly
As they move through their stories very hurriedly
The saying goes like this “haste makes waste”
And in the computer age, everything can be traced

Here's some advice to wicked psycho story tellers
You darling Catfishes, dream spinners and resellers
Loving people see you coming you're no special breed
No Balm of Gilead, only scorpion weed and chicken feed

When getting mired in the clever traps we knit
You only "get what you get" Don’t throw a fit
Clueless to the reality of getting caught
You must covet being constantly distraught

A clever trap is the evasive one you didn't see coming
Because lies in your evil mind keep constantly humming
Like the saying "come into my web said the spider to the fly"
Who's the spider and who is the fly as games go completely awry

When peddling your madness to people you think are in need
Give a second thought and if you have a conscience, heed
Admit your delusions because your sanity is on the brink
Quit playing games, the hour is later that you think
