Between Daylight and Evening

Between Daylight and Evening

Watching the daylight turn into eve
feeling the stirring of a cooling breeze
I savor the time between daylight and night
feeling arms slip around me, holding me tight

I gaze into eyes so filled with love
in her there's an angel sent from above
She talks to me smiling her voice soft and sweet
this time of the evening when our two hearts meet

Yes this time of the day, between daylight and night
my heart overflows, knowing our love is right
This beautiful woman, my best friend, my wife
she's the foundation of my earthly life.
