Tide In Tide Out/ Missed

Is life like the waves rushing in

full of velocity and so beautiful

sometime's violent crashing against the shores

flowing gently back out to sea

crashing against each other

as if struggling to survive, one

could watch for hours just feeling

the breeze against your face

and the smell of the sea air

The soft warm sand between your toes

As we walk along the coastline

The salt waters always returning to the air

from where it came, raining again

and gentle snows

to the mountain tops flowing

on to the rivers and streams

starting the cycle all over again

From dust to dust and ashes to ashes

and born again in another form

The cycle of life reliable phenomena

Tide In Tide Out

Missed

You were there but now gone

Your thoughts are now ours

as we remember your words

that are now our memories

so you live on in our minds

You rest in peace and become

part of the universe all around us

in the air, sun, wind and light

We will join you when our time comes

but now we are in pain with your loss

and sadness that we are apart except

for those memories we share
