A Winters Night

Frozen white droplets of water falling on the cold land

Bare leafless trees reach to the sky in a dormant state

Haze and clouds block the sunlight as days grow short

I look thru the window as days seems long and lifeless

The cold sends chills throughout our bodies as we seek shelter

How we yearn for the sun upon our faces as we think of spring

The lakes waters hard now in a frozen state

We warm ourselves in front of the fire with a blanket and a book of poems

A sip of red wine as we cuddle together to stay warm and at peace

The cold has brought us so close together on this cold winters night

About this poem:
With a glass of wine and the cold outdoors sets my mind wondering tonight as I think of poetry and romance
