Silence touches my soul
Stillness whispers
From within
The world you
Walked in

A friend like no

I made a friend
Out of sadness
From the silence

Things
The realization
Of what strength
Lied inside me
Tears only made
Clear what
Was changing
Me from the inside
Acceptance of Fear
Alone to the world
Inside me my world
Expanded
I seen sorrow for
What it was
I seen hope for
What it was
I seen friends for
Who they weren't
Slowly what happiness
I knew faded instantly
To a cold world
To where all I could
Do was take suffering
And attach it
To where only
My dreams could
Take that
Broken part
Of me

Release it
To heaven.
