Automatic Peril

Lost in a land - all alone - far from home.
Nowhere to go - no place to hide.
So little truth and too many lies.

Violence and greed and religious beliefs.
Murder and crime and circumcision - the babies bleed.

War and hunger - lust in love.
Relationships ending for no other reason but just because.

Questions not asked and answers untold.
Living an unsatisfying life and then growing old.

Losing a limb or born without.
Ever so sad - swallow and choke.

Players and addicts - perverts and guns.
Winners are losers and the losers have won.

Heroin and crack - acid and weed.
It's not nature's fault - we're the disease.
