No Need For Words

Oh my! How delicious was my Sunday morning -
My lover, he gazed deep into my sleepy eyes
In silence, he held my gaze in
For what seemed like aeons,
He brushed back my hair in silence
He caressed my bare shoulder - in silence
Two souls became one in silence,
There was no need for mere words,
Our eyes did the talking.
It was a transcendental moment,
He was me, I was him, silent salty tears
Of pure unadulterated joy trickled
Down my cheeks, I knew in that moment
If I ever get to be in God's tender embrace
Behind those pearly gates, it sure won't
Better that sweet moment in my lovers embrace.

Hi Titania,

I have to say love does not come around too often but you have summed up the feeling wonderfully in these few words. wine bouquet

Such rarefied moments of sheer bliss leave an indelible mark on ones senses - and are treasured life-long.

You sum up the very essence of love in these beautifully written lines Chrissie.
