Denials thumb.

Every sentence which poured
from its bitter cold lips,
filled my mind with fear
and madness.

If I did dare smile,
it would strip me down,
til the smile in my eye
was lifeless.

my heart grieves still,
holds a deep dark ache,
for that 10 year abusive
sentence.

now, my smile is strong
and the bruises are gone
I'm beginning my life with
happiness.

My daughters, my love.
My son, my hope.
My dreams, now,
within my distance.

About this poem:
After being dead for so many years, its hard to know how to breathe. But once you've figured it out, you realize that, not only can you think and speak, you can also sing! And maybe one day, you will even dance!

at least there is hope
hope that wins over last
thy strength proves itself here
emergence with ebbs at every fall
love and hope
girls and boy
innocence
in you

quite a lesson to all
to stay up
and never leave
love and hope

Thanks for the thought well woven
