Fallen Star.
Author: Unknown
Moonlight hugged the misty ground,
stardust kissed the breeze.
A shooting star, fell from your eye...
Falling...
Falling...
It fell, inside of me.
Embedded deeply in my heart,
sheltering from the storm.
It said, it could never leave,
afraid its absence would leave me torn.
Though, if I swim through sea of glass,
And climb the mountain of your dreams,
I could wake up with your love,
returning the star, to thee.
With every stroke, every kick,
my body burned with flames.
Splintered glass, broke through my skin,
diamond blood, escaped my veins.
As my blood, mixed with the glass,
rainbows danced on the horizon,
lighting up a twisted path,
leading me to your mountain.
Crawling from the shattered waves,
to lonely, isolated sands,
my strength, urged me to carry on,
courage, led me by my hand.
Arriving at your mountains base,
I looked up, yet, saw no top.
It was hidden in the dreamy skies,
"Dont look down" I said, "Don't stop."
Each and every step I took,
pain surged up, through my soles.
Desperately, I bit my lip,
stubbornly, I carried on.
Higher,
higher,
higher, I climbed...
I feared not height, nor drop.
Brighter,
brighter,
brighter, still...
Magic glistened in the mountains rock.
Dreams, cloaked with invisible beauty,
stole my breath with joyful tears.
Blurry eyes were my protection,
from, your hidden, dark nightmares.
Higher,
higher,
higher, I climbed...
Sunbeams, settled in your smile, shone.
Brighter,
brighter,
brighter, still...
I had, almost, reached the top.
Stumbling over sharpened rocks,
I lost my balance, and I fell,
far away from your dreamy heavens,
Into your deep, dark storm of real.
Waking from my slumber,
in your heart, so strong and warm,
love reflected a veiled vision,
blinding you, from what I was.
"Who are you?
Why are you here?"
They're questions, I always asked,
my smile glowed, as I replied,
"I am your fallen star."

'drifting away' induced despair
'fallen star' yet another jolt
but beneath - thee - lines
jewel thee crown with passionate passions
joyous joys jumping jumper
return in turn turning tempts
on and on, on even yon'...
